Coastal Security Consultants was founded in January 2011. Our success begins with our people. Founder Tim Russell and Doug DiFranco are security industry veterans with over 30 years of combined experience. Tim and Doug have a proven track record of success. Having provided sales leadership to security

Timothy Russell


Virginia, Maryland & West Virginia



Before founding Coastal Security Consultants, Tim had over 19 years of proven success in the security industry with various sales and sales management roles.  During his career, Tim worked for regional integrators and global manufacturers, and provided service excellence to end users, integrators and distributors.  For the past ten years, Tim worked for Honeywell.  He started as a Regional Sales Manager in the Mid-Atlantic region, and most recently was the Director of Sales for Honeywell Systems Group.  In this role he led the access control and video sales team for the Eastern U.S. and Canada. Tim has industry experience in CCTV/IP, access control, intrusion and fire products as well as in-depth vertical experience in the transportation market.


Driven by personal values of honor, unquestionable integrity, and service, Tim also served in the United States Army.  Strong work ethics, passion for his work, and dedication to outstanding service have been the building blocks of his success.


Tim lives in Midlothian, Virginia with his wife and two sons. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from the University of Phoenix and an Associate in Applied Science from Central Texas College with a focus in law enforcement.  Away from work he enjoys riding and racing dirt bikes, camping, NASCAR and spending time with his family.

Doug DiFranco

Vice President of Sales

Doug has over fifteen years of experience in the low voltage security industry, working for a regional wholesale distributor and a security integrator. While working for a distributor in the Atlanta area, Doug consistently exceeded sales objectives, helping to grow the company into a formidable force in that region. He developed an account portfolio and
following that relied on his product knowledge and consistent performance. Doug was an asset to his customers by staying current on technology, developing action plans for increasing sales, and providing products that fit the needs of his customer’s jobs.


He has been praised for his drive and abilities to work with clients in a professional manner. He has exceeded customer expectations in numerous situations and always puts his clients’ needs first.


A native of Connecticut, Doug lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife and daughter. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Communications form the University of North Carolina Charlotte. After 12+ successful years working for a wholesale distributor in the Atlanta area Doug recently returned to college at UNC Charlotte to accomplish his personal goal of obtaining a degree.


When he is not working, Doug enjoys home improvement projects. Doug also likes to spend time with his family and friends enjoying the outdoor activities the Carolinas have to offer. Ron Spencer

Regional Sales Manager

Before joining Coastal Security Consultants, Ron was a manufactures representative for Georgia, Alabama and East Tennessee with over 20 years of proven sales success in the low voltage industry. Ron held roles in wholesale distribution but also as a national trainer for fortune 500 companies and created business platforms that are nationally used today.


Ron consistently exceeds sales objectives, helping to grow businesses into being a formidable force in the market place by relying on knowledge, service and the customers objectives and needs. Consistently striving to being the best in the industry with these principals. Ron is an asset to customers by staying current on technology advancements and explaining the points easily to assist with action plans to increase sales.


He has been praised for his tenacity to get the job done and help with action plans to assist customers in a professional manner. He has exceeded customer expectations in numerous scenarios and always puts the customers objectives and needs first.


Ron lives in the hustle and bustle of Atlanta Georgia with his wife and their kids. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Mars Hill College and an Associate in Applied Science from Mayland Community College in Criminal Law and North Carolina Law Enforcement Certification. Ben Lancaster

Regional Sales Manager

South Carolina



With over a dozen years in the low voltage industry, Ben has acquired a variety of relevant skills and experience that fits perfect with the culture of Coastal Security Consultants.  He started his career as an installer for a local security company and moved into management with the same integrator. 


After finding his passion in sales, Ben spent a couple of years as inside sales for a global security distributor, before moving to an outside sales roll for one of the largest rep firms in the southeast.  Through this position, he gained the knowledge and experience necessary to take on a Territory Sales Management position with an up-and-coming manufacturer of fusion splicers, in which he played a major roll in building the company into one of the industry leaders across his territory.  His unique experience and set of skills has positioned him to be an asset to his accounts through solution selling, support, training, and loyalty to partners.


Born and raised in the Columbia, SC area, Ben enjoys spending his free time with family and friends enjoying the outdoor activities that SC has to offer.  He spends the hot summer days on the lake, either fishing or just enjoying quality time with loved ones.  When autumn (or football season) rolls around, its all about Gamecock football and bonfires.  After football season, he enjoys projects around the house while waiting for next summer! Ben can be reached at ben@cscrep.com or 803-479-3688.



Lent Ross

Regional Sales Manager

Before joining Coastal Security Consultants, Lent has over 25 year of experience in the low voltage industry as a -regional sales manager, technical sales and training director, distribution sales, and is driven to provide excellent customer service.  With access control, security, video, audio, and networking skills, Lent is dedicated to finding the right solution for integrators, distribution, and end users, and providing outstanding service from start to finish!  Through his years in the industry, working with military, municipalities, schools, integrators, and builders, and end users, Lent has developed a strong ability to providing the solutions and the needs of his customers in the Southeast.


His desire to help customers grow their business and become their “partner” has proven to be successful for his customers and has provided consistent growth in his region.  Lent brings extensive product knowledge and experience to CSC from his time in the low voltage industry.

Lent lives in Olive Branch Mississippi with his wife and has two daughters and two granddaughters. He is a native of Mississippi and he holds a Bachelor’s degree from Delta State University.  In his free time, Lent’s passion is spending time with his granddaughters, spending time outdoors fishing, playing golf, and attending Mississippi State sporting events.

Si Pratt

Regional Sales Manager

North Carolina



Before joining Coastal Security Consultants, Si was a Network Systems Specialist at Graybar for over 21 years in Florida. Expertise with data, communication, electrical, and security solutions allowed Si to consistently achieved growth through contractor and end-user development as well as fostering supplier relations. He used his problem-solving skills while utilizing his abilities in technical sales and territory development to meet his goals. Si holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing/Management and an Associate of Science degree in Network Engineering Technology.


Si started his career in inside sales at Graybar’s Sarasota, FL branch. Having been assigned a developmental territory, it was his responsibility to bring in new accounts while increasing sales with the existing customer base. Learning the product base and developing relationships with suppliers was also instrumental to success. Progressing to outside sales and then regional account manager, Si collaborated with engineers, GCs, and owner/developers to source project leads and design complete solutions.


Originally a native of Florida, Si moved to Raleigh with his wife in order to be closer to family. When not traveling, Si likes golfing, mountain biking and hunting.
